EducationMaster's degree in math education.
ExperienceI guess I am the oddball. It seems like most other tutors on this website are university students. Well, I am a retired high school math teacher who has been tutoring the last several years in the Madison area. So, if you are looking for a very experienced math tutor, you can give me a try. The first hour is free, then, if you are satisfied, the fee is $25/hr. I have been tutoring high school and college students as well as adults in all of the high school and college math topics. The main reason that I am involved with tutoring is because I enjoy helping people understand the material, and it gets me out of the house. I live in Evansville, about 25 minutes south of the beltline. Since I drive a prius, I don't use any gas. HA!
Hobbiesbird watching, traveling, fishing, doing math problems in coffeehouses, polka dancing, etc. etc. etc.

David is such a sweet guy and is VERY flexible about meeting times and locations. He has helped me with every single math test (Algebra II and Pre-Calc) and I will stick with him through my high school years!!
David is an excellent tutor! He knows the subject well and is able to teach it in a way that is easy to understand and encourages the person being tutored to want to learn more.
Dave was extremely available, patient and kind. He has a great way of offering you notes that are relevant to the homework problems so that your sessions actually carry over into what you are learning in class ( so as to avoid having the tutor give you the answers). He is very flexible with scheduling and is a great listener! I could not have asked for a better tutor
Dave is doing an excellent job of helping our daughter through some difficult calculus topics. Dave's teaching style is patient and adaptive. He is always on time for his appointments and his communications with us are clear and prompt. We would recommend Dave as an excellent tutor.
